Mobile phone stolen after victim and offender have cuppa

A MOBILE phone has been stolen from a property in Coase St, West Gladstone by an offender known to the victim.

The phone was allegedly taken between 6-8pm on Tuesday after the offender and victim were having coffee together.

In other police news, a case of wilful damage has been reported after a glass window was smashed at a property in Webster Court, Agnes Water, between 10am and 3pm on Tuesday.

A case of unlawful use of a motor vehicle was reported to Gladstone police on Tuesday night, after a vehicle was taken from a property at Fleet St, Calliope, on May 3.

It's believed the suspect was known to the victim.

And a 50-year-old man has been charged with drink driving after being tested on the Dawson Hwy, Biloela at 6.55pm on Tuesday.

He allegedly had a blood alcohol content reading of 0.054.
