Mizzi makes the most of CQ Capras Gladstone squad

MATT Mizzi took the opportunity offered to him by the creation of a CQ Capras squad in Gladstone with both hands, committing himself fully to chasing a spot in the Intrust Super Cup team.

Now ready for his fourth game, the front-rower is feeling more settled every match, which is good because tonight he needs to impress his mates.

"I can't wait, the ability to show the boys at work and the guys I play with week in week out I can play is great," Mizzi said of the clash with Wynnum Manly Seagulls at Marley Brown tonight.

"This is the highest level I have played. It is quick."

Coming off the bench and playing the majority of the second half, Mizzi is happy with the role he is playing.

His goal is to play at the highest level he can, juggling his sport with work, and to continue learning about the game.

"I have always played a good level of footy so I wanted to play the higher level," he said.

Mizzi and his Capras teammates will go to battle with Wynnum at 8pm on Thursday following the Gladstone and Rockhampton clash, both at Marley Brown Oval.
