Wedding night in hospital as bride dislocates knee
BEING carried over the threshold took on a new meaning when newlyweds Chloe and Jon Donald walked through the hospital doors after their reception.
The bride, still in her elegant wedding gown, immediately drew the attention of hospital staff.
"I dislocated my knee at the reception," she laughed.
"Luckily it was at 1am, so I didn't miss out on the whole night."
The pair, both teachers at Gladstone South School, were married in a beautiful seaside ceremony at Gladstone Marina on January 3.
One hundred guests came from as far as the Gold Coast, Mackay and Bundaberg for the sunny Saturday afternoon wedding.
It all began three years ago for the now-married couple when Jon asked Chloe out for some drinks after work. In the interim, they have embarked on the greatest adventure of all - beginning a family.
Two-year-old son Jaxon was pageboy beside two flower girls, four bridesmaids and four groomsmen.
A reception followed the dazzling ceremony at the Grand Hotel. The couple honeymooned for a week at Mooloolaba.
