MINISTER for Housing and Homelessness and Small Business Brendan O'Connor visited Gladstone yesterday.

Mr O'Connor visited Gladstone Heritage Retirement Village to discuss the government's National Rental Affordability Scheme, which he said was helping create accommodation for elderly Australians.

The minister also visited The Haircutters at Nightowl Shopping Centre to discuss concerns held by small businesses in the region.

Mr O'Connor then met with Gladstone councillors.
