Signing of Hobbs will give Phoneix Power edge they need

THE signing of elite basketball player Braydon Hobbs will give Phoenix Group CQ Power the edge they need, according to men's coach Dale Iwanicki.

Hobbs was a key figure in Mackay's QBL championship run last season averaging 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists per game.

"Braydon has the ability to read and anticipate the game like few others I've seen," Iwanicki said.

"His ability to find open players in the right spots is something that makes him elite in this league.

"He is a very team-oriented player who strives to make others around him better and that's something we've been looking for in the import search over the off-season".

Hobbs is set to arrive in Gladstone in time to take on the Rockhampton Rockets at Phoenix Group CQ Stadium in the home opener on May 11 at 8pm.
