Men charged over bashing in Mooloolaba street

TWO women and a man were allegedly bashed in a Mooloolaba street last night after someone knocked over their wheelie bins.

Police charged a 27-year-old Mooloolaba man with two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and one count of common assault as well as a 29-year-old Surfers Paradise man with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm and common assault after being called to Neerim Dr about 10.20pm.

It will be alleged a 29-year-old woman, a 34-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman were struck and punched in the street after they came out of a Neerim Dr unit to investigate wheelie bins being knocked over.

Police located the two men a short time later in Brisbane Rd.

Paramedics took the victims to Caloundra Hospital with cuts and bruises.

They were all in stable conditions.

The men are due to front Maroochydore Magistrates Court on February 24.
