Flynn candidates meet the public

THEY'VE been hitting the pavement in the race to win the Federal seat of Flynn, but not all Gladstone region residents have had the opportunity to question the candidates on what matters to them.

Gladstone Area Promotion and Development Limited (GAPDL) will be providing people with the opportunity to meet some of the candidates at a special lunch forum on Thursday.

The “Meet the Candidates” Business Enterprise Luncheon will be held at the Gladstone Entertainment Centre, with Labor Party's sitting member Chris Trevor, Liberal National Party-endorsed candidate Ken O'Dowd and Greens Party candidate Anne Goddard lined up for the occasion.

GAPDL chief executive officer Glenn Churchill said the pre-lunch networking will start at 11.30am and the formal event will start at noon.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for people of the Gladstone region to hear about the future visioning of Gladstone from some of our election candidates, and any debate, before the upcoming election,” Mr Churchill said.

“It will also be a terrific forum for the candidates to announce important last minute infrastructure or project funding.”
