Love at first fry as Maccas couple marries
IT was love at first fry for Bradley Pengelly and Yen Sparks.
The newlyweds met at the Kin Kora McDonald's, where they both worked four years ago.
"Yen trained me when I first started there," Bradley said
"We were working there together for one and a half years."
Bradley and Yen wed at the Tondoon Botanic Gardens and had their reception at its cafe on December 14.
Bradley said he couldn't decide what the most enjoyable part of the day had been.
"The whole day was good, even though we had a little bit of rain."
There were 80 family and friends who gathered for the wedding and there were six people in the bridal party.
"It was a pretty laid-back wedding," Bradley said.
"The botanic gardens cafe catered and that was really good. Everyone enjoyed it."
Bradley and Yen's baby Jasper was a well-behaved guest at the wedding.
Jasper was born at Gladstone Hospital in March.
For their first dance as a married couple, they chose Ed Sheeran's hit Thinking Out Loud.
"It wasn't a hard decision - we both really like that song," Bradley said.
Some guests travelled from Brisbane to celebrate with the pair, but most were locals.
Bradley has lived in the Gladstone region all his life. Yen moved to the area six years ago.
