Mayor invites seniors over for tea

GLADSTONE region seniors are eagerly awaiting the Senior's Week morning tea at Mayor George Creed's property at Raglan.

Lillian Mason and Norma Jenkins are among the hundreds of guests who are anticipating the big day.

“Oh yes I am very excited to go,” Ms Mason said.

More than 350 senior citizens will be attending the morning tea with many hoping for a relaxing and fun day out.

“I am just going to relax and have a good time and hopefully get into a bit of trouble,” Ms Jenkins joked.

Having both been last year, Ms Mason and Ms Jenkins are hoping it will be just as good this time around.

Cr Maxine Brushe said entertainment would be provided by three well-known musicians.

The Seniors Week morning tea will be held tomorrow from 10am until 2pm.
