Maxi taxi fire at Brisbane Airport caught by Twitter exec

A MAXI taxi has exploded into flames outside Brisbane Airport's domestic terminal.

Luckily, no-one was seriously injured.

A witness told AAP that the taxi went up in flames in a matter of minutes.

The drama started just after 9am.

Isaac Irvin, who works for Twitter,  was walking towards the cab rank when he noticed smoke coming from the car's engine.

A minute after that the vehicle caught alight, sending flames metres into the air.

Flights were not affected by the drama, Brisbane Airport tweeted.
