Not-so-old dogs learn new tricks at AFL come and try day

THERE was a great turnout yesterday at Dennis Park, Boyne Island for the Capricorn Barbarians come and try day.

President Rod Spice said the day had been planned to help find new players for the AFL Masters Football Club.

Those who were new to the game were given quick tricks and tips before a friendly match was played.

The day wrapped up with a barbecue.

The Masters AFL team is for anyone over 30.

Players train all year round on Wednesdays from 6.30pm at the BITS AFL ground.
