Marina parklands set to glow with Xmas lights

GLADSTONE's Marina Parklands will be shining with a festive glow when Gladstone Ports Corporation lights up the marina's large Norfolk Island pine tonight for the community to enjoy.

Every year, GPC electricians spend more than 40 hours decorating the 15m tall pine tree, next to the marina stage.

GPC's Curtis the Turtle will sit alongside Santa Claus and his elves, and Gladstone region Mayor Gail Sellers.

The turning on of the lights will be part of Gladstone's annual Christmas carols event.
