REVEALED: The Sunshine Coast's deadliest roads

POLICE data from fatal crashes has revealed some of the most deadly roads on the Sunshine Coast.

Data analysis by the Daily pinpointed 149 fatal crashes across the region between the start of 2005 and the end of 2014.

While 24 of those crashes claimed lives on the Bruce Hwy, 15 were south of the Caloundra Rd interchange.

Fatal crash sites on the highway were clustered at the Roys Rd interchange and near Wild Horse Mountain.

Peregian Beach, Cooroy, Bokarina, Wurtulla and Pelican Waters all escaped without a single fatal crash in the area.

Caloundra Rd was one of the safest major roads, but still claimed one life during a crash in December 2007.

A Friday evening crash at Woombye in May 2009 was the region's worst in the ten-year period, killing four people and leaving a fifth victim in hospital.

The vehicles collided at the intersection of Nambour Connection Rd and Blackall St at 6pm.

There was little traffic in the area and the weather was clear at the time, police reported.

The original police data also includes crashes that ended with minor injuries, medical treatment, property damage or victims in hospital:
