Man stabbed multiple times in Kingscliff laneway

UPDATE: 3pm 

POLICE are investigating a stabbing in Kingscliff. 

About 7.40pm Thursday, police were called to the incident on Pearl St, with reports of a stabbing. 

When they arrived, they found a 36-year-old man who had multiple stab wounds. 

He was taken to Tweed Hospital and treated for injuries to his hand and face. 

The injured man has refused to cooperate with police. 

A crime scene was established in the nearby laneway and was assessed by forensic specialists. 

Police are continuing to investigate the incident and anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

A MAN was taken to hospital after a suspected fight in Kingscliff on Thursday night. 

A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said they were called to Pearl St at 7.40pm.

She said one male with hand injuries was transported to Tweed Hospital in a stable condition. 

Residents have reported on social media that a significant number of police were around the area at that time.

Police have been approached for comment.
