Man trampled by horse on property

A MAN has been trampled by a horse in an incident on his property, sustaining injuries to his leg. 

The man in his 60s was mustering on his rural property north east of Roma at 10.55am this morning when he and his horse fell.

The horse trampled the man as he tried to get up.

LifeFlight's Roma-based Surat Gas Aero-Medical Service flew to the property and transported the man to Toowoomba Hospital.

Queensland Ambulance Services treated the man at the homestead about 15 minutes later.

LifeFlight's Critical Care Doctor treated the patient on scene before he was taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment. 

The total flight from the scene to Toowoomba Hospital was one hour and 24 minutes.

The trip by road would have taken more than five hours.
