Man linked to Rebels arrested in Emerald for Bundy incident

A 29-YEAR-OLD man was arrested in Emerald yesterday after investigations into an incident which occurred in Bundaberg on December 28.

Police will allege that a participant of the Rebels criminal motorcycle gang had an altercation with security after he was refused entry to a licensed premise in Bundaberg. It is alleged that he assaulted the security officer and later used a telephone to leave a threatening message concerning the security officer and another hotel staff member.

The 29-year-old man was located in Emerald yesterday and charged with common assault, threatening violence and two counts of using a carriage service to making threats.

The man is due to reappear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on January 16.
