Man left on Brisbane street with multiple gunshot wounds

A MAN is fighting for his life in hospital after being found on a Brisbane street with gunshot wounds to his head and chest.

Police were called to the Tingalpa street after receiving reports of shots fired about 3.30am today.

Police and ambulance crews rushed to the Jarrow St location, where the found the man lying on the roadway.

Police are still attempting to identify the man, who was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

A crime scene has been established in Jarrow Street with uniformed officers, detectives, scientific and scenes of crime officers currently at the scene.

Police are appealing to residents in both Jarrow and Annette streets to check their property- including houses, cars etc- for any signs of fresh damage; and to contact Crimestoppers if any is located.
