A MUNRUBEN man who led police on a wild chase across large parts of Brisbane, Logan and Ipswich has appeared briefly in court.

Jake Robert Dixon, 24, fronted Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday after being charged at the weekend with a host of offences including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, receiving tainted property and disqualified driving.

He made no application for bail and was remanded into custody.

Magistrate Virginia Sturgess adjourned the matter until May 9.

Police allege the crew of PolAir 1 observed a vehicle driving across the north and south sides of Brisbane and Logan - including allegedly driving at high speed, through red lights and on the wrong side of roads.

The vehicle allegedly continued to drive dangerously on major roads including the Logan and Ipswich Motorways over the course of several hours.

The car also allegedly drove through various city tunnels in an attempt to avoid detection - however the on board crew had the ability to speak directly with tunnel authorities and were constantly updated as to its whereabouts whilst the vehicle was out of sight.

A tyre deflation device was successfully deployed about 12.40am on the Centenary Highway at Yamanto.

The vehicle allegedly continued to drive on its rims along Ipswich-Boonah Rd.

A police vehicle travelling in front of the stolen vehicle caused it to slow down and stop about 1.15am bringing to an end the wild chase.

A Hillcrest man, 21, was also charged stemming from the chase and he is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on May 12.
