Home 'extensively damaged' after car runs into room

UPDATE: A man has declined transport to hospital after crashing his car into a home in Cranley this morning.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said the 21-year-old driver of the car which slammed into a front room of a Sanctuary Dr home about 6.10am did not require transport to hospital.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said the home had been "extensively damaged" in the incident.

It is believed the man was the homeowner and had hit the accelerator by mistake.

6.10AM: A man has been injured after his car crashed into a house this morning.

It is thought the 21-year-old man drove his car from a driveway into a lounge room.

The incident took place about 6.05am at Sanctuary Dr in Cranley, close to Ferrer St.

Emergency services are rushing to assist the man, who is thought to be conscious and breathing.

Extensive damage was done to the home.
