Toowoomba Fire Station officer Greg Stewart said when crews arrived all the occupants were out of the vehicles.

"One patient will be transported to Toowoomba Hospital so that his injuries can be monitored," he said.

Mr Stewart said it was important that motorists drive safely over the holiday season.

"People are travelling long distances to see friends and loved ones so we're asking everyone to take regular breaks and not to speed or drink and drive."
