Man fractures both legs in parachute injury

A MAN has fractured both legs and has suffered serious head injuries after a parachuting accident at Toogoolawah over the weekend.

Emergency services were called to the scene at about 12.39pm yesterday.

The 22-year-old parachutist was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson reported the man was conscious and breathing when ambulance officers arrived but had fractured his legs and the base of his skull.
