Man flown to Brisbane after assault in Central Lane

GLADSTONE police are seeking assistance from the public in relation to an incident that occurred in Central Lane on Saturday morning.

About 1.30am, two 22-year-old men left a licensed premises and were walking towards Roseberry St when they were assaulted by two other men.

One of the men sustained cuts and bruising to his head, back and elbows and was transported to the Gladstone Hospital for treatment.

The second man sustained fractured vertebra and has been flown to the Royal Brisbane Hospital for treatment.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is urged to phone Gladstone Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
