FURIOUS his friend was being arrested for littering, Trent Leask started yelling loudly at council workers and thrust his phone in their face as if he were filming the event, Gladstone Magistrate's Court has heard.

The Gladstone local was drinking with friends in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane on October 11, 2014 when he was arrested.

Magistrate Penelope Hay said while alcohol was a feature of Leask's offending, it wasn't an excuse.

He was fined $500 and no conviction was recorded.
