Man charged with drink driving after crash at Boyne Island

A MAN will appear in court charged with drink driving after a single vehicle accident early on Friday morning.

The crash occurred on Malpas St, Boyne Island at 4am involving a Mitsubishi Lancer sedan.

Gladstone police attended the scene and carried out a blood alcohol test of the driver.

The 23-year-old male driver allegedly returned a reading of 0.119.

He will appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court at a later date.
