Man charged after ute skids and crashes

A MAN driving a black ute who allegedly skidded out of a car wash on French Street and crashed into a fence opposite the United petrol station has been charged by Gladstone police.

The man was charged with failing to pay due care and attention.

Police said the driver was distracted when he crashed the car.

He is due to appear in Gladstone Magistrate's Court at a later date.
