Man caught riding quad bike while allegedly drunk

A GLADSTONE man, 38, has been charged with several offences after an incident on Friday night.

He was stopped by police riding a quad motorcycle on Sandpiper Ave, New Auckland about 10pm with an alleged blood-alcohol concentration of 0.216%.

In addition to drink-driving he was charged with driving an unregistered or uninsured vehicle, failing to display L-plates, failing to produce a licence on demand, as well as driving unaccompanied on a learner driver's permit.

He will appear in court at a later date.
