Man bitten by brown snake after trying to move it

A-47-year old patron of Apple Tree Creek Hotel suffered a snake bite today after he tried to remove the 30cm brown snake from the area.

The man was bitten on the finger and transported to the Bundaberg Hospital where he is in a stable condition.

Queensland Ambulance spokesman Martin Kelly said people should be wary around snakes and should never touch or try to remove them.
