Man with bikie links charged with assault

A GEHAM man police say has links to a bikie gang has been arrested and charged with assault and disqualified driving.

The 58-year-old was arrested on Friday morning in the Toowoomba region.

Police said the man's offences were alleged to have been committed in September.

"The defendant is a known participant in a criminal motorcycle gang and will appear (in court) in custody," Darling Downs Tactical Crime Squad officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Scott Stahlhut said.
