Man assulted after he couldn't call a taxi

Two men assaulted another man after he was unable to call them a taxi.

At about 11pm last Friday night near the corner of Warrener Street and Andergrove Road, the victim was knocked to the ground and continued to be punched.

The two men ran from the scene of the crime when the emergency services were called.

The two men are described as: white in appearance, 170-175cm tall with tattooed arms, with one man wearing a black shirt and the other man wearing a white t-shirt and a cap.

A Mackay Northern Beachers police spokesperson said it was likely someone heard the incident, or shouting involved because it was in a residential area.
