Man arrested after 'flashing' woman with a sausage roll

A MAN has been arrested after he pretended a sausage roll was his penis and "flashed" a woman on the street.

Daniel Proctor approached the woman outside a McDonald's in Newcastle, England, making her believe that he has exposed himself to her.

The victim called the police and was reportedly so traumatised that she can no longer take the same route to work and felt "ashamed and afraid".

An officer found the 30-year-old man in the fast food restaurant's toilets on suspicion of indecent exposure but it was discovered that he has been holding a sausage roll near his groin.

He was charged with a public order offence as he made the sausage roll "look like his penis" and "behaved in a disorderly manner", according to the Newcastle Chronicle.

James Palmer, prosecuting, read from the victim's statement: "I was about 100 yards away from the male and I had a clear, unobstructed view. The street was very quiet at that time of day.

"I looked across and noticed his penis was sticking out the top of his trousers. He was waving it about. On seeing me, he stared at me for five to 10 seconds."
