A MAN has been charged following investigations into an incident yesterday when a woman was injured.

At 4.45pm, a woman self-presented to Lowood QAS with wounds to her torso.

The woman was transported to the Ipswich Hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.

It will be alleged a verbal altercation took place at a Mount Tarampa place residence earlier in the day which escalated and resulted in physical injury to the woman.

A 25-year-old Tarampa man, who is known to the woman, has been charged with wounding and possession of dangerous drugs.

He is expected to appear at the Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow.
