Man loses licence for four years after court snub

AFTER numerous non-appearances in Gladstone Magistrates Court, the book was thrown at Anil Kumar Patel on Tuesday for driving without a licence.

The absent defendant was issued with a $2000 fine and a disqualification period of four years.

A conviction was also recorded for Patel, who will no doubt become fond of walking.
