A LOGGING truck caused chaos on the Bruce Hwy after it rolled and lost its load about 5km north of Booyal.

The 48-year-old driver from the Rockhampton area received minor injuries and was transported to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.

Emergency crews were called to the crash about 2.45pm Tuesday and worked to direct traffic around the incident as logs were strewn across the road and the side of the highway for about 100m.

One lane of the highway was closed for a number of hours as the truck was up-righted and the logs removed.

This incident was the second truck crash on the stretch of highway after an earlier incident just 2km north at about 11am.

Police are investigating what caused the truck to leave the highway and roll.
