Lochte's Rio claim bites again

PROTESTERS dampened swimming star Ryan Lochte's debut appearance on the US TV series Dancing With the Stars on Monday night.

Two men wearing T-shirts with Lochte's name and a "no” symbol through it rushed on to the stage shouting "liar, liar” before being seized by security.

Then a group of women wearing shirts with the same message stood up and booed before being escorted away. Lochte (left) fell out of favour at the close of the Rio Olympics when he fabricated a story about being robbed at gunpoint, and was charged with filing a false crime report.
