LNG tugboat number three arrives

SMIT Lamnalco has received its third new tug boat, the SL Boyne Island.

The fourth tug, the SL Heron Island, is expected to arrive at the end of May, and the SL Wiggins Island will be expected during the course of June.

The tugs were specially designed to guide the liquified natural gas-carrying ships into and out of the Gladstone harbour.

The first tug arrived in December last year, and in total by June there will be five tug boats.
