LISTEN: Gladstone drink driver caught 4 times limit outed
GLADSTONE Police have been busy over the past week with eight drink drivers intercepted on Gladstone roads.
Two drivers returned a blood alcohol content reading in the high range level, including 21-year-old Shaina Lockyer and 44-year-old Sandra Newcombe.
Lockyer blew a reading of 0.21% when she was intercepted along Kirkwood Rd. Not only was she disqualified from driving for six months but was also issued with a whopping $1250 fine.
Newcombe returned a reading of 0.192% when intercepted along the Bruce Highway. She was placed on probation for 15 months and disqualified from driving for seven months.
Barry Mozley copped a huge fine of $6500 when he was intercepted along the Brice Highway in Bororen and returned a reading of 0.087%. The 26-year-old was disqualified from driving for three months.
A 56-year-old Geoffrey Drew, was pulled over along the Gladstone Benaraby Rd when he returned a reading of 0.116%. He was disqualified from driving for three months and fined $800 for his actions.
- A 38-year-old Kirsty Fraser returned a reading of 0.085%. Pulled over along the Gladstone Benaraby Rd she faces a fine of $550 and is out from behind the wheel for three months
Intercepted along Haddock Drive, 19-year-old Tomas Salonen returned a reading of 0.054%. He was disqualified from driving for three months and fined $350.
Christine Dittman was pulled over on Toolooa St when she returned a reading of 0.059%. The 53-year-old was disqualified for just one month and faced with a $350 fine.
- Lastly, Adriane Robertson was pulled over along the Dawson Highway in Calliope and returned a reading of 0.03%. The 29-year-old was fined $500 and is out from behind the wheel for three months.
