LIST: Ten things to do this weekend

1. Night yoga

FULL moon yoga will be held tomorrow at 6pm at the Gladstone Marina. Donations can be made to Queensland farmers. Click here for more information.

2. Library Square Markets

PICK up some fresh produce or crafts today at the Library Square Markets. The markets are from 7am - noon on Goondoon St.

3. Surfing competition

THE first surfing competition for the year will kick off tomorrow. The Australia Day Tide N Turn surfing competition will start at 8am at the Agnes Water main beach.

5. Calliope indoor markets

THE monthly Calliope Indoor Market will be held tomorrow from 9am - noon. The markets offer local art and craft businesses a chance to showcase and sell their work. Find jewellery, candles, clothing, accessories and more. The market is held at the Calliope RSL Hall.

6. Thangool races

THE Thangool Races will kick off today from 11am at the Thangool Race Club. TAB, bookies, Sky Channel, bar and canteen will be on offer.

7. Discovery Coast Markets

THE Discovery Coast Markets, which are held on the fourth Sunday of every month, will be on tomorrow. From 8am - noon pick up handmade crafts, clothing, fresh produce, jewellery and more at the markets, held at the SES Grounds on Captain Cook Dr.

8. Come and try tennis

THE Tannum Sands Tennis Club is opening its courts up to the community for a come and try day. From 4pm on Sunday, interested players are welcome to come and try the sport and chat to the coach and vice president Stephen White. The tennis club is on the corner of Canoe Point Rd and Oaks Rd, Tannum Sands.

9. Ahoy boaties 

BOATIES are invited to a free information session at 2pm tomorrow at the Volunteer Marine Rescue building, Alf O'Rourke Dr, at the western end of the marina. Phone Jim Purcell on 4972 1676 or 0429 721 676 for more details.

10. Cool down at the beach

THIS weekend is set to be a scorcher --- so why not cool down at Tannum Sands Main Beach? The nippers will be down in full action tomorrow morning from 9am if you want to find out more about what the sport club does.
