Rising star shines by winning golf championship
MORGAN Lewis is a rising talent in Gladstone Golf Clubs ranks and at only 15-years-old has won the Women's Closed Championships for the third time.
Having begun playing golf back when she was seven, by the age of only 13 she had become the best female player at the club.
The reigning champion backed up her title last year, and once again, claimed the trophy on Monday, winning by a healthy margin of 25 strokes.
"I had a shocking first day and pulled it together to have a good game after that," Morgan said.

Her success is not limited to just the championships. She also tasted victory this year in junior competition.
"I have won a few, but I just love the game and playing it," she said.
"I have won two junior opens as well - Gracemere and Yeppoon this year."
Brought into the game through family, Gladstone Golf Club has seen a lot of the Lewis family, and it will see a lot more of Morgan in the
"Everyone in my family played - my nan, pop, my dad and brother - and then I ended up here," Morgan said.
