LETTER: Recreational fishers urged to catch the app

WITH the popular Boyne Tannum Hookup fast approaching, now is a good time for anglers to download the free Queensland Fishing app.

The app is easy to use and contains species identification, closed seasons, closed water and habitat maps, an angler diary, and tide and weather reports.

This is a great tool for the seasoned angler and amateurs alike, providing quick access to identify what has been caught and to check the legal species and size information.

The app can be downloaded straight to your phone via Google Play or iTunes. The information is also available in the Queensland Recreational Boating and Fishing Guide available free at any Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol office, on the Queensland Fisheries website or by calling 13 25 23.
