YOUR STORY: To the four men who gang raped my daughter

TO the four men who gang raped my daughter,

I don't know who you are, so this letter is my only hope to let you know what you have done. In what you must have thought was a 'bit of fun', you managed to totally crush the spirit of my beautiful girl.

Before you did this horrible thing, she was vivacious, confident and looking forward to the rest of her life. Now, you have left behind the broken shell of what could have been.

Your bit of fun ripped the joy from her life. I am now the terrified mother of a depressive suicidal young lady.

Why terrified?

Do you wake each day hoping that your child is still alive? Praying that she hasn't given in?

I do. Thanks to you four men.

She struggles to find a reason to stay here with us, though I remind her every day of how much we all love her, her pain is all consuming. Two years later this is what you have done to her, and to us, her family.

I hope you never have to take pause before opening your child's door, hoping that they haven't taken their life in the night. May you become better men, and make up for all the pain you have caused.
