LETTER: It's time to take a stand for aquatic centre

PLEASE could the Gladstone ratepayers tell me how much longer they are going to put up with this council's spending and wasteful ways.

They have as much as sold the aquatic centre.

This complex was battled for by the Gladstone people - many gave donations, a lot of raffles, the generosity of QAL at the time, also from a lot of other avenues to make this public pool become a reality.

It was battled hard for by the Gladstone people of the time only to have this mob claim and lease it out to private enterprise.

This council, not being a government, should not have the power to do this without the permission of the people of Gladstone.

Ring or email your local state member and express your disgust.
