Leader of the QLD Bar, Cedric Hampson AO, QC has died age 81

ATTORNEY-General and Minister for Justice Jarrod Bleijie has paid tribute to leader of the Queensland Bar, Cedric Hampson AO, QC, who passed away over the weekend.

"Queenland has lost an eminent legal mind, leader and mentor with the passing of Cedric Hampson QC," Mr Bleijie

"He was leader of the Bar for an unprecedented 31 years and commanded an extraordinary diversity of expertise, from crime to constitutional matters to Commissions of Inquiry.

"My thoughts are with his wife Catharina, his four children and 10 grandchildren during this sad time."
