Damien Lyon wants a response from BITS Saints

Last weekend's results were very disappointing for the seniors and the reserves.

We went into both games not at full strength, but confident we could get the results we wanted.

The reserves battled hard all day and even though the results did not show it, they stuck together and never gave up.

Dion Simmons, captain Keith Bilston and Corel Stenzel were the best players.

In the seniors, we had a good first quarter, but in the second and third quarters Gladstone was too strong and we couldn't stop them when they had a run on.

I was very proud of the boys' efforts in the last quarter.

I asked them to stand up and get something out of the game and they did.

Brendan Clarke, Ben Dempsey and Steven Pugh were our best followed by Tyson McMahon.

We are really looking forward to playing Brothers this afternoon.

We will go into the game with a number of players missing out on selection.

This means that it puts pressure on players to perform.

We have had 10 new players joining the club over the past two weeks which is great for us and a good indication that we are heading on the right track.

Kick-off is from 2pm at BITS Oval.
