Laptops stolen while man was in shower

A NUMBER of laptops and an iPhone were stolen from a unit in West Gladstone over the weekend after an offender entered the property while the occupant was in the shower.

The occupant told police he had locked the screen door at the back of his unit, but had left the wooden door open while he took a shower. 

Ten minutes later, when he had finished the shower, he discovered items had been stolen from his kitchen.

The property stolen was an Apple iPhone, an Apple laptop and a Dell laptop, a debit card, Medicare card, a healthcare card and a shopping rewards card. 

Gladstone police also are investigating a number of thefts from unlocked vehicles over the weekend.

A handbag and purse were taken from a Nissan Navara ute in Pandanus Ave, Kin Kora.

The vehicle was parked and unlocked in an open carport. 

Two women were seen near the property at the time of the offence.

Items also were stolen from an unlocked Nissan X-Trail station wagon parked on the driveway of a property in Paperbark St, Kin Kora.

A wallet and a small amount of cash was stolen.

The wallet contained a driver's licence, a Bank of Queensland Visa debit card, $80 in cash, Medicare card, Medibank Private health care card and other personal cards.
