Kindy marking 50th year with market day

C&K Gladstone Community Kindergaten has reached its 50th birthday and will be celebrating the occasion with a market day in late August.

Originally planned for August 8, the event will now be held on Sunday, August 29.

The kindergarten is seeking stall holders, memorabilia and sponsorship for the event to make it a day to remember.

C&K director Sue Moran says it is a chance for past and present students to come down and celebrate being 50.

“The event will be about 50 years of kids coming together,” Ms Moran said.

The main attraction on the day will be the memorabilia display, which will showcase 50 years in photos, news clippings, paintings, videos and any other special mementos from the kindergaten over the past five decades.

On the day there will also be markets and food stalls, a jumping castle and celebratory breakfast.

Submit anything you have for the event preferably by the end of July, or to make contact with the school and find out more about the 50th celebrations, call after the school holidays on 4972 1049.
