Kin Kora funds provoked by Flynn's close seat

It's amazing what you can achieve in a marginal seat when it comes to election year.

Maybe it's the cynic in me, but I'd like to wager that had the seat of Flynn not been a close call we would not have seen any Federal funding any time soon for the Kin Kora roundabout.

But Mr Albanese has come to the party, stumping up $10million in 2014 if his party is elected.

One would have to expect that if his party is not elected there will be no Federal funding for a while - perhaps the coalition can advise us on that matter, should it become the ruling party come September 7.

The remainder of the expected $25million to complete the project will have to come from the State Government and, no doubt, our council.

One would hope that those two organisations are ready to fly with their funding if this all comes off the way Mr Albanese and friends would like it to.

There's nothing surer than something needs to be done on the intersection.

Just don't hold your breath.
