Model drawn back to bikini competitions
GIRL FRIDAY: Model Kimmi Kilner moved to Kin Kora from the Gold Coast for a taste of the quiet life.
But she just can't seem to stay away from the glitz and glam of bikini contests.
"I like to get dressed up and have fun," Kimmi said. "It's nice to be in the spotlight sometimes."
On Saturday night Kimmi will strut her stuff at the Tannum Sands pub in a bid to make it into the final heat next Saturday.
"I used to do bikini contests at the Gold Coast all the time," she said.
"I got entered into one up here by one of my modelling agencies and just kept on doing them since."
She said being on stage and having everyone stare at her wasn't daunting.
"I've been a professional dancer since I was 13 so being on stage comes natural to me by now."
Kimmi is no stranger to the nightlife and works as a bartender at MIePLACE.
And even though that means most of her nights are spent with people drinking, she said it's a fun job.
"My favourite cocktails to make are sour skittle bombs."
Kimmi moved up here about a year ago with her husband.
The pair wanted a cheaper lifestyle to help save money so Kimmi could buy a new car.
