TODAY Gladstone comes alive with the sound of children's laughter, the smell of dagwood dogs and all the fun of the dodge-em cars.

It's all your favourite carnival craziness rolled together with a special Gladstone twist.

There is something for everyone at the 120th Gladstone Show; show bags, rides, stalls and fireworks will lure you in, but demo derbies free-style motocross, piglet racing and stilt walking will keep you there.

With thrilling rides for the kids and market stalls selling everything from plants to cross-stitch designs, the whole family will enjoy what the Show has to offer.

Gladstone Show Society secretary manager Robyn Reddacliff is excited to see all her hard work finally come together.

Today she will commence planning for 2013.

"I'm so thankful to Bob McCosker and Fulton Hogan for the new showground road which they donated."

It's set to be a fun-filled day at the show grounds.
