Kerah a perfect fit for Power

The versatility of her new team-mates.

That is what impressed import Kerah Nelson who played her first game for the Power.

She added a new dimension to her team and finished with 20 points to be the perfect foil for skipper Maddy Willey and Markel Walker.

"I was ready to play and pretty much used my speed," Nelson said.

"The most pleasing thing was our transition and encouraging each other whenever someone did something wrong.

"Markel is the hustler while we give Maddy the freedom to shoot."

Proud coach Ray Cooper said he was surprised how the team has played with a synergy of a side that has been together for years.

"It was the first time we have all played together and it's a testament to them to gel so well together," Cooper said.

He added that the Power "hit the ground running" which never allowed any realistic chance for Toowoomba to get into the contest.
