Kellie frocks up for a Cup day full of fun
KELLIE Bebendorf may not be at Flemington today, but celebrating in Gladstone is the next best thing for this local mum.
Ms Bebendorf sees Melbourne Cup day as a chance to let her hair down and wear a dress she hasn't worn for a while.

She is heading out this afternoon in vintage attire with a floral headpiece, a recycled outfit perfect for the occasion.
Ms Bebendorf said she would be popping out to lightbox and Rocks@lt to catch the race and have a few drinks.
"I've been doing it for years, I always dart off to the Turf Club," she said.
"It's a dream to go to the Melbourne Cup but I just get dressed up (instead)."

Ms Bebendorf, who has a one-year-old son named Carter, said frocking up is important for mums in particular.
"I work so hard all the other time with children or work. Life is so busy and you don't get that little time for yourself, you need to have that time for you," she said.
"Everybody has their own beauty and it doesn't matter if you win or lose, it's if you feel good within yourself."
As for betting on a horse, Ms Bebendorf said she has had mixed luck in the past.
"I usually bet on one that gets scratched," she laughed.
"I was one short of getting a trifecta once, that was so exciting."
Ms Bebendorf encouraged all those who are working on Cup day to head out to lunch or hold a sweep at their work.
Her floral, spring-inspired attire won her the Cox Plate Fashions on the Field last weekend.
"The dress was just an old one I had in the cupboard," she said.
"I was very overwhelmed, you know how much effort some girls go to."
